Documents

The participants will receive printed documents, including the book “Discrete-Element Modeling of Granular Materials” (ISTE-Wiley) and the documentation of the Yade-DEM software.

Software

USB sticks will be distributed with an image system (linux) including the Yade-DEM software.

The numerical sessions will be organized in a room with enough computers for all students (running on windows XP). It is possible however to come with one's own laptop. If the OS is not (K)Ubuntu 10.04, it is recommended to try and install VMware player (Windows/Macintosh/Linux) before the start of the school, in order to run the image system from the usb stick.
